Recent research indicates that visitors traveling to Maui are most interested in authentic Hawaii experiences. To address this consumer need, we created a series of social media ads that show Honua Kai Resort on one side, and an authentic Maui experience on the other. The headline reads “Relax Your Mind. Renew Your Spirit.” which infers that at Honua Kai you can relax and let all your worries go away, and then you can book an authentic Maui experience through the resort’s concierge to help you “renew your spirit.” A series of eight social media ads were developed and ran across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google Plus social media platforms. The ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) for the social media component of this campaign was over 2,500%. In addition to social media, the campaign was supported by international print advertising that utilized the same imagery and headline, and targeted both consumers and travel agents.
